The SAIAE KZN Branch and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) collaborated once more to showcase this year’s UKZN Final Year Student Design Team and their exceptional project! 🚨📢 Their phenomenal project was presented during the SAIAE KZN Branch Annual General Meeting and UKZN Final Year Student Presentation Event, which took place on 16 October 2024, at the Ukulinga Research Farm, UKZN, Pietermaritzburg, with sixty (60) attendees present. 🏫
In this article, we will be summarizing the proceedings of the event, from the SAIAE KZN Branch Chairperson’s report, the SAIAE KZN Branch Committee, the list of student award recipients and introducing the Final Year Design Project Team and reiterating that the youth are the future of Agricultural Engineering. 📃
We would like to thank everyone who attended the event and contributed to the success of proceedings. Professor Tilahun Seyoum Workneh, Dr Alaika Kassim, Ms Khuthadzo Ntsowe and the entire SAIAE KZN Branch Committee are all extremely appreciated by the Institute, as they were exemplary in their organizing and facilitating of the event. The Institute would like to make mention of the immense support and incredible contributions from MBB Consulting Engineers, in particular, Mr Mark Zartmann and Mr Pranesh Moodley, as they have continued to play a vital role in the development and rewarding of Agricultural Engineering excellence! 🌍👏
Let us all continue to celebrate and encourage the youth of Agricultural Engineering, as they are indeed the future of the fraternity! We as an Institute will continue to support and be involved in the development of the future leaders and contributors within the Agricultural Engineering sector! 💫
