Ipeleng Maroo-Maseko Women’s Month Appreciation

We are not done yet! As there is another phenomenal woman we would like to appreciate and introduce to you! In closing off the Women’s Month Appreciation Marathon, The South African Institute of Agricultural Engineers would love to introduce to you, our very own, Ipeleng Maroo-Maseko!

Ipeleng Maroo-Maseko is the current SAIAE Mpumalanga Branch Secretary.
She holds a BSc Eng (Agricultural Engineering) from UKZN, Masters in Engineering Management from UP and Masters in Sustainable Agriculture from UFS. She is passionate about academics and offers research support to postgraduate students.

She is appointed by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a member of a Working Group for the Agricultural Engineering Code of Practice.

She is the District Engineer for Gert Sibande District for the Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture.

Her 12 years’ experience includes research in renewable energy, agricultural infrastructure development, procurement, and project management. She coordinates Environmental Impact Assessments and Water use applications.

Ipeleng is passionate about promoting the Agricultural Engineering Profession as well as contributing towards a productive agricultural sector.
